Governance at King's

The Council of The King's School

The King’s School is governed through a School Council that meets regularly throughout a year to direct the School’s affairs. There are also several sub-committees covering areas such as finance, property, scholarships and compliance. 

The majority of Council members are appointed by the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney and the President of the School Council is the Archbishop of Sydney. 

A number of Council members are appointed by members of the Old Boys’ Union of The School. Members appointed directly by the Council are sometimes added.

The School Executive

The School Executive has whole School accountability across the Senior School, the Preparatory School and Tudor House, combined with direct contact with students and parents. They provide strategic influence via guiding, leading and collaborating across the appropriate leaders in each campus and department of the School.
