Dunedoo Cricket and Art Weekend

20 May 2022 - 22 May 2022

Dunedoo Cricket Weekend

You’re invited to the Dunedoo Cricket and Art Weekend from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 May 2022.

Don’t play cricket? Doesn’t matter. Don’t really know about art? Who cares. If you enjoy coming together as part of the King’s Community, this is the weekend for you. Set in the iconic NSW town of Dunedoo – about 4 hours from Sydney – this weekend is designed to give our families a weekend away to a region rich with wineries, history and – for one weekend only – King’s Cricket and the Art Unlimited Art Show.

Our community will arrive on Friday afternoon and evening and we have booked local eateries for Friday Dinner (the Famous Dunedoo Chinese Restaurant), Saturday lunch (the Dunedoo Golf Club – in between the two 20/20 Cricket matches) and Saturday Dinner (the equally famous and very popular Dunedoo Bowls Club).

While the cricket is on, we will have a ‘bring a plate’ tent set up, adorned with food and drinks from our King’s community and you are welcome to contribute. More to follow on this culinary treat in due course!

The Dunedoo Cricket Ground will also be transformed, with some music and even some expert commentary on the loudspeaker…the celebrities will remain secret!

While the cricket is on, some of you might want to play (bring your cricket gear), some might want to explore the Art Unlimited Art Show (bring your critical eye), some might want to explore the local surroundings (bring your exploring shoes). For all information on Dunedoo and the surroundings, visit www.visitnsw.com/destinations/country-nsw/warrumbungle-area/dunedoo or enjoy the prestige of the Art Unlimited displays – www.artunlimitednsw.com.au

Spots for this weekend will go quickly so here is what you need to do to lock in your spot:

Step 1- Book your accommodation
Your options are below. You will need to contact your chosen Dunedoo accommodation option directly. Make sure you mention Malcolm Rouse when booking so that you can be placed in the rooms already reserved for King’s. Due to the Art Show, rooms will fill up quickly.

Step 2 – Let us know you are coming!
Fill out this KingsNet form so we can keep you up to date with the plans for dining, the Cricket, the Art Show and all the information you need regarding the Friday and Saturday night events.

It will also help us organise transport for the weekend so we can make the most of our time together.

The Art Unlimited Art Prize and Show is one of regional Australia’s most exciting Art Shows and promises to add more class and excitement to an already wonderful weekend. Please check out the website – it will be wonderful to see for those who don’t – or do! – enjoy the cricket.

Please remember, this is not a weekend about Cricket or Art – although both will be fun and oozing class! – this is about us coming together to create lasting memories, great friendships and exploring a wonderful part of central NSW where The King’s School has a rich history.

See you all there!
